Little black dress photographed with a Nikon 18-70mm AF-S DX 3.5-4.5 lens.
About 12 days ago, I mentioned how a Nikon lens I took on vacation in December began to give me problems then eventually became stuck, unable to zoom or focus properly. Original post HERE. I was able to find my original receipt and warranty cards, the original 1 yr and the additional 4 yrs Nikon offers for lenses if you send in the card at the time of purchase. I’ve owned it over 4 1/2 yrs and my extended warranty was about to end in a few months! Easily a replacement lens would have cost me a few hundred dollars!
Today I called to check the status and it was ready for pickup. I live near a Nikon Service Center so I decided to drive by and pick up the lens. Easily and with a smile, the clerk took my receipt, took it to the back and returned with my, now working, Nikon lens! No charge of course, since the warranty took care of it! I’ve had other warranty work done in the past, but I had never had a problem where over 4 yrs had passed and Nikon still fixed it for free, until today!
Well, I’m off to the Nikon Repair shop, I just got the confirmation that my lens I left for repair is ready! Very happy about their service!

Lisa in black lace lingerie.

Lisa in black lace panties.
When I do a photo shoot, I try to pose the model in various positions. In this shoot I wanted to capture Lisa showing me her best angle, so I had her pose in different ways and shooting multiple shots of minor movements. I made sure I captured as many poses of her standing, which not only showcased her slender figure, but also those long legs!
Lisa is a tall thin blond with a great pair of legs and a nice fit tush, so I had her wear this red top with a black lace panties. The red high heel shoes finished up her outfit and gave those calves some shape. With a solid black backdrop, it allowed me to focus much of the attention to her legs.
With subtle poses, turning in a 360 degrees, what better way to photograph a beautiful lady? I don’t know about you, but I’m glad I became a photographer!

Lisa in the "no undies" red dress.
I use this little inexpensive dress with models often. Since the sides are exposed, the model needs to be bare under the dress, meaning no bra or panties. For those models not used to dressing like this its a little intimidating, but when they model for me, I expect the woman to be open to new ideas. Lisa who is a little conservative, was hesitant to wear it, but after discussing it and modeling it in front of the mirror, she agreed and allowed me to photograph her in it.
I asked her to take a chance and it worked. She was fine and lost her inhibition. Pushing a model to do something is not what I recommend, I suggest you ask, woman like to feel sexy, if they are ok with it, they will let you know, if they are not, then they will let you know as well. But remember only ask once! Then let it go, do not insist, on one likes a pushy photographer!
