You probably have noticed the shameless plug for donations on the right side of the screen. I keep this blog up for fun and I enjoy posting as often as I can, in fact sometimes when I photograph a model I shoot an extra hour or so to play around and get photos for this blog. I don’t make money of this blog, its more of an “outlet” for me from my daily life. And its something I want to continue to do. But sometimes it does add a little more time and costs. As many of you know a photo shoot can consist of studio costs, prep time, purchasing or renting equipment. And that is only if the model is working for free. This is one of the reasons why I like to use amateur models. I often don’t pay them but I do trade their time for photos, meaning I have to create and work on photos and I pay them with that or a small financial fee. Either way, it involves costs.
This will be the only post where I talk about the donation, I don’t like to talk about money, I like to talk about photography! So if you can now or sometime in the future, I will be greatly appreciative and know that the ones benefiting will be the models and you!
