 "Hold on or the tree will fall on you!" Life is busy lately and seems there isn’t enough time in the day to complete everything in a timely manner. Shuffling photo projects, editing, home improvements and to top it all off this past month I battled city hall on some zoning issues! The zoning issue was time consuming, but I won and saved myself thousands of dollars in yearly costs, so I was happy about that one. But sometimes I feel like the girl on the left, holding up a tree or better yet pushing a tree and getting nowhere! 
However there is one thing to look forward now, and that is warmer weather, which means more outdoor shooting! It was over 75 degrees here all week and Spring is only a day away. I’ll be looking forward to doing some beach and bikini photo assignments very soon. I’ll also be using my regular outdoor locations more often for test shoots and attending photographer events. Finally, more “fun” stuff to photograph rather than all this work!
I also plan to purchase some new photography equipment, some to replace old equipment, like new studio soft boxes, but also a new camera body. Most likely getting the Nikon D90 from Amazon, so far the best price with the new instant rebates. Although you never know, I might get the full frame Nikon D700 !
I know many of you now have the latest Nikon and Canon DSLR’s and have used the movie function, I’ve used it as well in a limited way. However I’d like to take it a step further and try creating a short movie clip with different scenes. I found this nifty little iPhone application Dream Filmmaker that allows me to create a storyboard on my iPhone, no matter where I’m at! I’ve tried it a few times and like the way I can setup my scenes whenever I think of them, instead of having to write or sketch them down.
I feel better now knowing I have a few “fun” things to look forward these next few months! By the way, I plan on doing a few special things in the next couple of weeks here on Outletphotography so be sure to check back often or subscribe by adding your email on the top right, its free!

 Pizza at BJ's a models favorite dish! Today I drove over to the next county and met up with a good friend and model for lunch. Here in our area, there is a chain of restaurants called BJ’s, yeah, I know, funny right? But the food is really good and the atmosphere is also nice.
Most people would think that her, being a model would eat salads or a very light lunch, right? After all isn’t that what we are always told on by the news about models? Skinny, wafe like bodies with bones visible throughout there bodies/face? Not this girl, she has a curvy figure in all the right places but definitely not overweight!
I ordered a sandwich salad combo and to my surprise, she orders this very cheezy pizza with two toppings! Now let me tell you, she was looking very nice that day, wearing form fitting jeans and a nice little blouse that accentuated her cleavage! While I had a sandwich and salad she had this great pizza, my first question was how she could keep her figure? Her answer, gym then more gym and finally more trips to the gym!
I guess not all models eat healthy all the time, but one thing is for sure if they eat like this, it will take a few extra hours at the gym to lose those calories! As always I carry a camera with me, in this case my Canon G10 and took this quick snap shot of her pizza. She didn’t want me to take a picture of her at that time, because as usual, models always want to look their best for the camera and she was dressed casual today, but in reality she looked great, I should have taken a few quick snap shot to share.

As we enter the holiday season, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Like many of you, I’ll be spending my time with family and friends this weekend. But check back often this weekend because I’ll be posting some updates to distract you from all those long lines at the mall!
This is also a good opportunity to look for some willing participants for YOUR photo projects! Parties and malls are great places to meet people who may want some head shots, family photos, or if you’re lucky some pinup or glamour shots. If you don’t ask you will never know! So why not take this holiday season to practice your photography? If you do, share and send me a few samples, I would love to see some of the photos the readers of this blog produce!

 Today we had our first rain of the season. Dull, ugly and dangerous because I had to drive over an hour on the freeway today. I know the rain is needed and it does clean up the air very well here, but its the fact that summer time ended officially. At least that is how I see it. One of my female friends who just started modeling for me in very intrigued by photography and I have been helping her with her new found “hobby”. Besides being hot as hell, she is fun to work with. And as I look back at this summer, I thought I would share a photo she sent me just a week or so ago when it was 90 degrees here. She was at the beach with her friends and took this photo, she said she wanted to create a simple sexy but innocent picture of summer. I think she did very well, considering she took it with an inexpensive point and shoot digital camera.
I emailed her today to let her know I was sharing it on my blog, she was VERY excited! Let me know what you think and I will pass on the info!
